Cheerio needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start? Contact Cheerio's Caretaker/Foster Directly: Caroline (caroline@kittenschool.com)
Looking for a cat who acts more like a goofy, friendly dog? Cheerio is your boy! This gorgeous guy with his Russian Blue fur and green eyes is one of the friendliest kitties I have fostered. He absolutely *craves* affection and will drop on his back and roll around when you pet him. Then he grabs your hand asking for more stroking! Cheerio is an ideal pet for anyone looking for a loving companion to spend time with...you will never feel lonely with this boy by your side! Although I have not seen Cheerio interact with other cats or dogs, but he's so chill that I think he'd be good with other pets after proper introductions. Cheerio would be great for a single person (as long as he isn't left alone too long...this guy LOVES people!) or families. See his short video in the photo section! Cheerio is FIV+, which means he tested positive for a common cat autoimmune virus, but FIV+ cats usually live normal, healthy lives without requiring additional vet care or medications. FIV is transmitted through deep bite wounds, not through normal cat interactions like grooming and litterbox sharing, so Cheerio probably got it during a fight when he was a stray. This boy is healthy and full of life and love! Cheerio is scheduled to be fixed within the next 2 weeks and will be ready to go home to his new family after that. Cheerio is currently in private care at Kitten School foster home located 5 miles south of downtown Orlando. Reach out to this kitty’s foster mom to schedule a time to come spend some time with him in our socially-distanced "cat romper room"(but warning, you will fall in love!) I’m already in Love! How do I meet this kitty? ****IMPORTANT***Reach out DIRECTLY via TEXT to foster mom Caroline at 407-340-7668, or email Caroline.St.Clair@gmail.com Adoption details: This foster kitty is in a private home 5 miles south of downtown Orlando. Visits with mask/social distance can be arranged OR virtual meeting through video chat. All Kitten School foster cats are adopted through Orange County Animal Services (OCAS). Adopters will complete OCAS application prior to taking their kitty home. Adoption Fee: $40 (or less as OCAS often runs adoption specials) This includes: spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, de-worming, FIV testing, and microchip. Additional Adoption Notes: OCAS and Kindness for Cats are vehemently opposed to declawing cats. Any cat or kitten adopted through us must not be declawed. Adoptions are first-come, first serve based on eligibility. Please make sure you are certain that having a cat or kitten will suit your lifestyle before adopting; it is not fair to the animals who are returned due to circumstances that should have been foreseen, such as allergies, roommate issues, or landlord issues.
