Calico with white female approx birth date April 1st.
I am listed as a special needs kitten due to missing one eye, but actually I do not require extra care. Update on Cita and her brother Houdini -- when I came into my foster mom's care, my brother and I were terrified and as a result cowered and hissed when approached. Within just a day we no longer did this but were still timid especially around people new to us. My foster mom believes that my brother Houdini and I had a pretty rough time of it living on our own in the streets before Animal Services picked us up. Also when we first came to my foster home we were not as playful as most of the other kittens, again my mom believes that that has to do with most of my young life spent just trying to survive, so play time was a luxury. But all of that has changed!! Now I am a happy little girl and follow my foster mom around like a little puppy dog!! And I'm not even as timid with new people, as long as they are gentle with me I am soon crawling into their lap for a chin scratch and attention!! It's amazing what a safe environment and kind, gentle people can do with a kitten's confidence!! I'm litterbox trained and don't scratch furniture, instead I like to stretch my front paws on a sisal twine scratching post and on the Turbo scratcher. I'm now an indoor kitten and prefer to remain so, protected from hazards of the outdoors. And I'm hopeful to go to a home where my family will treat me as gently and kindly as my foster mom does, and I really hope that my brother Houdini is adopted with me! We have been through so much together, and he is just as nice a kitten as I am and it would be a shame to split us up and send us to separate homes.
