Meet Chanku! He is quite a lot of cat! Poor Chanku was surrendered to the shelter weighing a whopping 30 pounds (!) with matted, dirty fur and an uncertain future. He was not a happy camper in the shelter environment so he was quickly placed in foster care. After settling in and getting some much needed TLC, it was clear he was a super sweet boy who was just not feeling good. (Can you blame him?) Surprisingly, he did not have a very good appetite even though he seemed comfortable in his foster home. The stress of all these recent events made him show signs of a kitty cold. He was put on antibiotics and after just a couple days he regained his appetite and appeared much happier. He is a finicky eater and only eats wet food. It has been closely regulated and his weight monitored. He's already lost 5 pounds in foster care! He gets daily exercise and can even jump up on the couch now. He is such a lovebug and just wants you to love him back and let him be your lap cat. He will need a special person who's willing to keep a close eye on his weight and his overall health. He lives to be petted, likes to be brushed and even plays with toys if coaxed. Will you consider giving this sweet kitty a second chance at life? He will be so grateful!
