Meet Raya! This beautiful calico girl is about 2 years old. She entered the shelter as a stray and had four adorable babies. She is an excellent mom and is very patient and loving with her kittens. They are all weaned now and it's her time to shine. No doubt her friendly and fun personality will make her new family feel like they hit the jackpot! She can be silly and likes to play with toys or run around with her kittens. She's also very affectionate and sweet and purrs whenever her people are around. Raya likes to talk and has a lot to say sometimes, but it's never annoying. She just wants to be a part of a family and to feel included. She has a calm, gentle demeanor. Since she was separated from the resident cats in her foster home, it's not clear how she would act with other cats, but with a slow and proper introduction, she will probably do just fine with another cat or a dog. She uses the cat scratchers to stretch her claws and is litter box trained (but would do best with a large or covered box). Raya likes her breakfast, her dinner and her treats- she has quite the appetite. She will be ready for a taste of the good life as soon as August 11 so schedule your meet and greet soon!
