Update -- July 10, 2019 -- Freya has been adopted!! In Norse mythology, Freya is a striking goddess associated with love, beauty and above all - loyalty. This description is incredibly fitting for this orange and white beauty. While only 2 years old, Freya has already experienced more than some cats do in a lifetime. She’s held her own on the rough and tough streets as an adolescent, given birth to a healthy litter of kittens (thankfully, this pretty girl is now spayed!), and as the strong independent female feline she is, she’s survived unfortunate episodes of animal cruelty and come out on the other side with medals of valor and courage. She’s as brave as a Suffragette, as strong as Rosie the Riveter, as wise as Maya Angelou, and as fiercely independent as Ruth Bader Ginsburg. She’s shy at first - she’s been through a lot in her short 2 years of life - but once she realizes she can trust you, she blossoms out of her shell and will be more loyal to you than any other cat in history (yes, that includes the last famous Freya feline - family pet to Chancellor of the United Kingdom, George Osborne). You see, that’s the best part of living with a shy cat. Once you’ve won their loyalty, you realize it’s been the greatest conquest of your life and you have a friend that will stand by you and defend you for the rest of your days. She’ll be the Gayle King to your Oprah Winfrey. The Dwight Schrute to your Michael Scott. The Tina Fey to your Amy Poehler. Though, she’ll leave the stand-up comedy to you - she’s more of a “behind the scenes” gal. A stage manager, really. Freya has spent the last 8 months in her foster home learning to trust humans again. Learning that not all people bring harm and cruelty. Learning that it’s okay to love and let someone love her. Will you be the person to let Freya love you forever? Please email esthermcilvain@gmail.com to set up a play date with sweet Freya. Cat Stat Snapshot:
