Meet Dumpling! This sweet guy is 3 months old and was brought to the shelter as a stray after somebody found him injured on the 4th of July. He had x-rays taken at the shelter, which revealed that his right front elbow was fractured. We originally anticipated that Dumpling might need to have his leg amputated due to the severity of the break, but he started to heal well while on cage rest and is able to comfortably use his leg now. He is finishing up the healing process and will still need another 2-3 weeks of cage rest/limited activity in his new home until he has finished fully healing. Dumpling is not in any pain and uses his leg pretty well, but he does walk a little differently due to the way that it healed. Dumpling is very friendly, playful, and loves attention. He’ll purr up a storm when you walk into the room, and his personality has really started to blossom now that he’s feeling better. He’s energetic and especially loves toys with bells! He is neutered, up to date on his rabies vaccination, and has a microchip and his initial set of booster vaccines. He is negative for FeLV and FIV. Dumpling is ready to go home same day if adopted, and can be adopted for less than $40.00.
