*** Please: Experienced Adopters only*** Meet Chili! As the name suggests, this beautiful 3 month old female Tortie was a bit "spicy" when she first arrived at the shelter, and eventually at her foster home. It took a few days of decompressing before her hisses and growls turned into purrs. After a week or so the hisses completely gave way to purrs. However, she has yet to fully relax when being held. She will tolerate it with the right encouragement, i.e. Churu. She is very cautious and sensitive to new sounds, but she adjusts fairly quickly. She is very play motivated - loves her toys from mice to the turbo scratcher, and can entertain herself for hours with just some old newspapers. Her adopter would have to be very patient and live in a quiet household. She would not be suited in an environment with small children. She has done extremely well with the older resident male cat. Has not had exposure to dogs. I hope there is a patient and experienced person out there that will give her the opportunity to grow into the confident kitty I know she can be. Her adoption fee is less than $40 and includes the neuter, initial vaccinations, rabies, microchip and Feline Leukemia/FIV testing. If you have any questions about Chili, please contact her foster mom at Sabine.OCAS.foster@gmail.com More videos and pictures can be found on her Google Drive folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1SaR43ZbWbfcEqX7bzCsKujTiGqif1ymD?usp=sharing More about ChiliGood with Cats, Good with Older/Considerate Kids Only, Somewhat vocal, Plays fetch, Likes to play with toys, Playful, Timid, Intelligent
