Update May 12 2013 -- Sir Winston has been adopted, thank you Jennifer and family!!

Hi, My name is Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill! I'm a special needs boy because I am missing one eye and the other is clouded over resulting in limited sight. But you would never guess that I may be "clinically blind" as I am a very out-going friendly boy with little hesitation!!!  I absolutely love attention and can be quite vocal trying to get you to notice and love on me!  And though I'm now considered an adult cat (over 1 year old) I am a kitten at heart!!  I love to play, play PLAY!!  I love the Turbo Scratcher (that round thing I'm pictured with) and have no problem batting the little ball around.  And I love cloth mice and balls and will toss in the air to catch with my paws!!  I get along very well with other cats, the more to play with!

Regarding my disability, I really don't require much extra care, occassionally my eyes will be a little runny but just gently wipe with a tissue. My foster mom does not know how I lost my one eye or how the other came to be clouded over but guesses that I probably had an upper respiratory infection that went into my eyes and did not receive proper treatment.  She believes as time goes by my one eye will continue to heal and with that the cloudiness will recede and my vision increase.  Not a given but she has seen that in many similar cases.

I'm litterbox trained and don't scratch furniture, instead I like to stretch our front paws on a sisal twine scratching post and on the Turbo scratcher. I am an indoor cat and with my limitations it is especially important that I remain so protected from hazards of the outdoors. And I'm so ready to go home to my new family where hopefully I'll get a lot more attention than I do at my foster home where I share attention with 8 other cats!!  My adoption fee is only $40, please email for more information.
